TOUR CANOEING IN THE APURIMAC RIVER – 03 DAYS

This canoeing excursion in one of the best in Peru, it is done in 3 days and it is located 4 hours from Cusco in private transportation. It is journey in which we are able to enjoy all existing levels, full of adrenaline, beautiful landscapes and unforgettable activities done at camping ever imagined. Previous experience is required, especially in swimming techniques.

Tours: 3 times a week according to working seasons.

Our itinerary includes:

First Day:
At 8am we meet at a strategic point to travel in a private bus until we arrive to Huallpachaca Bridge in the Apurimac River; an approximate of 4 hour trip. Once we arrive we will have lunch and prepare our canoeing equipment. The guide will give a full explanation about techniques and safety instructions for these 3 days of adventure. We go into the rapids of the river on a journey class I II III to start some training techniques. After two hours in the river, we will arrive to our first camping. Lunch and dinner covered for the second day.

Second Day:
After having a good breakfast we start getting ready with some exercises to start our second day of adventure. This will be the longest day since it will last 6 hours in the river. The levels for canoeing will be III IV, we will enjoy the beauty of the canyon. Finally we arrive to the following campsite located at the shore of the river. Campfire and dinner included.

Third Day:
We start early this day, here, we will run rapids class III, IV and V depending on the water level. This day we will take all necessary safety precautions because in some parts we will find rapids class VI that are not safe to navigate, after 4 hours in the boat we will get to the exit zone to carry all equipment and have a great lunch at the shore of the river. Finally we return to Cusco arriving at 5pm approximately. At night we will project the expedition video in a place that will be assigned by the guide.
