TREK TO HUCHUY QOSQO - 2 DAYS

Itinerary:

Huchuy Qosqo is an archeological zone located in the vicinity of the Incan Sacred Valley at an altitude of 3650m. It’s very close to the town of Calca. This place is not heavily visited by tourists, though it is very impressive and its paths have great scenic beauty. We recommend that you you be in very good physical condition to do this trek, however, the trek can be made by horse as well. Be confident that we will always do our best to provide you with a pleasant experience.

First Day: At 8:00am we arrange pickup from your hotel then travel twenty minutes to reach the starting point of the trek, the place known as Tambomachay. From here we will start our hike through beautiful landscapes with our guide. The maximum altitude of the trip is 4070m. The archeological zone Huchuy Qosqo is located at 3650m. We arrive there after seven hours of hiking, set up camp and tour the area. We have dinner and our briefing for the second day.

Second Day: After a good breakfast we start hiking down to reach Calca in approximately two hours. From here we’ll take private transportation to the thermal baths of Machacancha for a refreshing bath, and after a good lunch, return to the city of Cusco arriving at 5:30pm.
