EXCURSION TO THE VALLEY AND THE VIEWPOINT OF COLCA

This tour is one of the most traditional ones and visited in the city of Arequipa (2336m above sea level), you will be able to enjoy of impressing panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains that surrounds the Colca Valley, as well as the cultural beauty and landscapes observing the spectacular flight of the condor.

Our itinerary comprises:

1st day:

In the morning, 7:20am we will transfer you from the hotel to start our journey to Chivay (3599m above sea level) in the Colca Valley. This journey will take 4 hours. During this trip we will enjoy beautiful landscapes, we will also visit the Misti volcano, Chachani among others; we will enjoy the habitat of the vicunas in the zone. After ascending up to 4910m above sea level, which is the highest point, we will go down to the district of Chivay (3599m above sea level) located in the Colca Valley, in order to have a delicious buffet lunch with a great variety of typical food of the region. Then we will go back to the hotels. Once at the hotels and if we have time, we will have a tour to the main square at this place and after walking, we will go to the hot springs of The Calera to relax and have a good rest.

2nd day:

After breakfast, we continue across the Colca Valley in or private transportation. On our way we will see the beautiful geography of the valley and then we will arrive to a strategic point where we will see an impressing view of the Canyon and of course the spectacular flight of the condor. In this place, we will be for around 2 hours to walk around the pathway of the Canyon, finally, we return to Chivay district (3599m above sea level), on the way we will visit some typical annexes and the Colonial Church of the zone. Finally we will have lunch and return to the city of Arequipa, arriving at 5:30pm approximately. Transfer to the hotel.
