CULTURAL CUSCO AND PUNO– 05 DAYS

This is a fascinating trip, it allows you to know more about the south of Peru. Our tour is created so that in few days you can be able to know the essential of these two places. Cusco city in Peru, one of the seven wonders; Machu Picchu and the highest lake called Titicaca located in Puno, visiting the Uros Island.

Itinerary of our program :

Day 01: Cusco – Tour in the city.
Greeting at the Velsaco Astete airport in Cusco, transfer to the chosen hotel, welcome coca tea, the rest of the afternoon will be for you to rest and get used to the weather and altitude. In the afternoon we will pick you up at the hotel in our private bus and start the city tour at Cusco, visiting important places like the Cathedral, the Koricancha site museum and 4 archeological zones; Saccsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay. After the touristic visit we will return to Cusco city. Accommodation, leaving you in the hotel or Main Square.

Day 02: Tour to the Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
After breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up in our private bus and we will go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the trip in bus will last 50 minutes. Arriving at Pisac to visit the artisanal market and its archeological zone. Then we will continue until we arrive to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley, here we will have the buffet lunch and after resting, we will continue to the archeological zone of Ollantaytambo. We will visit this impressing place for about 40 minutes. And almost before finishing we will leave you at the train station and we will travel by train to Aguas Calientes for about 2 hours. We will arrive and transfer to the hotel in Machu Picchu. At night we will provide you a briefing about Machu Picchu for your trip the following day.

Day 03: Tour to Machu Picchu – Cusco
Early in the morning we will have breakfast in Machu Picchu, and the will go uphill on a bus for about 30 minutes. Until we arrive to the main door at Machu Picchu. Here we will have a guided visit for about 2 hours and half across the rescinds of major importance in Machu Picchu. After the guide is done, you will have a free time to continue visiting other important places. In the afternoon we will go down to Aguas Calientes so you can have lunch and then embark the train at 3pm, and then take the bus to head to Cusco, arriving approximately at 8pm. Welcome at the train station and transfer to the bus terminal to go to Puno al 10am.

Day 04: Tour to Uros Island - Taquile Island – Puno
Arrival to Puno city, greeting at the terminal and to our office. The tour to the island starts at 7:30am by picking all passenger from their different hotels in Puno. Transfer to where we will embark. After the guide’s introduction we start the journey to Titicaca Island. The first place to visit is Uros Island. This place is known for the habitant’s skills at home and building the embarkation in a traditional way done with Totora. After our journey, we will continue to visit the last island; Taquile. Place which will be visited great part of the day; knowing people’s costumes. Taquile is known for its people’s warmth and the ability of their textile, we will also visit the Inca and Colonial zone. Finally return to Puno arriving at 5:30pm and them we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 05: Transfer to the airport – Return.
We will go and meet you at the hotel in Puno and transfer to Julian airport for your return flight.
