TOUR TO UROS ISLAND – AMANTANI – TAQUILE – 2 DAYS

This excursion to the island of 2 days, is one of the tours that make us know the most 3 important islands of Titicaca Lagoon in 2 days. Uros, Taquile y Amantaní, as well as living a nice experience of a local family sharing great and unforgettable moments.

Itinerary:

1st day:

The tour starts at 7.30 am by picking up the passengers from their hotels. Transfer to the boat. Introduction of the guide to start the journey. The first place to visit is the Uros Island (3810m above sea level), this place is known due to the habitant’s abilities in the house and the construction of their floating made of Totora. After few hours of the journey, we continue to arrive to Amantaní island ()3875m above sea level), here we are greeted by the people of the island who allow us to spend the night in their houses exclusively designed for the visitors, then, we will go to the main square and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Finally, a welcome folkloric typical show and dinner.

2nd day:

After breakfast and enjoy the beautiful dawn, we will continue the journey to visit the last island; Taquile (3853m above sea level), place that will be visited most time of the day knowing people’s costumes. Taquile is known for its people’s warmth and the textile ability. We will also visit the Inca zone and colonial. This day we will walk in order to surround the island. From its top we have an impressing view of the Titicaca Lagoon, we will also have lunch at a typical restaurant. Finally, we will return to Puno, arriving at 4,30pm and we will transfer to the hotel.
