HUMANTAY LAGOON IN CUSCO PERU

This route is new and ideal for those who are looking for a contact with the nature. Humantay is located 4 hours outside of Cusco in the district of Mollepata, in the snow-covered mountain of Salkantay and it is here where the trekking starts. This is a short uphill route and the altitude is over 4,000m above sea level. Even if you do not have experience trekking, there is no need of horses.

Program Description:

Pick up at the hotel in a private transportation, then, we will travel in the van for about 3 hours. We will have breakfast and then go uphill in a trekking that lasts around 4 hours until we arrive to the highest point located over 5,000m above sea level. On our way we will cross different communities and will appreciate the snow-covered mountains that surrounds it. There is the possibility of renting horses if you do not want to walk a lot. The view from up high is impressing. At the end of the visit we will go downhill until we arrive to the start point, here we will take the van to return and have lunch. Finally we will arrive to Cusco between 6:30 and 7pm.
