AREQUIPA INFORMATION

The city of Arequipa (2335m above sea level), is located in the south zone of the country. To its North with Ica city (400m above sea level), with Ayacucho (2745m above sea level) and Apurimac (2379 above sea level), to its South with Moquegua (1400m above sea level), to its east with Cuzco city (3399m above sea level) and Puno (3815m above sea level) and to its West with the Pacific Ocean. It has an extension of 63526km2 and its population goes above one million of habitants. Its capital is Arequipa, a city of 2336m above sea level, with beautiful sillar architecture (type of clay). It has beautiful landscapes and enviable country sides and a dry weather with warm temperature. It has an easy access from the capital with approximately a 16 hour journey. And from the city of Cuzco (3399m above sea level) with only 10 hours of bus drive.

Its Weather:

The White city of Arequipa (2336m above sea level), has a warn weather and relatively dry; its temperature varies between 21° and 8° during January to March with moderate rains. However, the sun shines almost all year round, creating a nice weather almost all year.
