AREQUIPA - COLCA CANYON - 1 DAY

This excursion of one day to the Colca Canyon is an activity that can be done in case you cannot spend too much time in Arequipa
.It’s a tour that may be done in only one day, you will have to leave very early.

Our itinerary includes:

Passengers will be transferred from their hotels at 2:30am to start our journey to Chivay (3599m above sea level). This trip is approximately 4 hours by bus to Chivay district (3599m above sea level), located in the Colca Valley. Before we go into Chivay, there is a control gate to check our identifications at the entrance, here we will have breakfast optionally and then we will continue across the Colca Valley in our private transportation. Finally, we will arrive to the Viewpoint of the Condor, strategic point where we will see the impressing view of the Canyon and of course the spectacular flight of the Condor. Here, we will take around 2 hours to walk by the pathway of the Canyon, finally we will go back to Chivay district (3599m above sea level), and in the route we will visit some typical annexes and the colonial church of the zone, after lunch, we will return to the city of Arequipa, arriving approximately at 17:30 hours.
