HACIENDA SAN JOSE – ½ DAY

This place was once of the most important ones in our Peruvian coast, not only for its sugar and cotton production, but as well as for the number of slaves who worked in the fields and turn it into the most prosperous of its age. Currently, the top plant has been turned into a historical housing to lodge a lot of visitors. It has impressing stories and vestiges of how the slave life was, those who came from Africa to this important part of our country.

Location:

The hacienda San Jose is located 2 ½ hours south of Lima (3m above sea level) in the district of El Carmen province of Chincha (95m above sea level) and Ica (400m above sea level). This place offers a lot of fun in a colonial environment of XII century, it is very recommended to enjoy a great weekend rest.

Its main attraction:

The catacombs is visited at night, it is a guided journey with candles and we go down a narrow stairs where fear is felt because of its stories told during the whole journey. Here, we also visit its colonial church where the dominical masses are held. This church has resisted along the years and is in good condition due to the constant refurbishments by the proprietors. Currently there is a prestigious hotel that is still open which allows visits in a private tour.

How to reserve:

Send us an email with your necessary personal information; name, nationality, passport number or national identification number, age, start date of the tour, some additional requirements. You will also make a deposit (wire transfer) via western union or a bank account of a non-refundable 50% cost of the tour to take your reservation.

Entrance tickets:

Some entrance tickets are not considered in our tours; you must know that occasionally due to time issues, health and your will of not visiting the tours, could be taken as a saving prevention when you do not use these tickets. If you want this to be included in your trip, send us an email so we can provide you with the costs, there will not be complaints about this.

Changes:
