Enjoy an unforgettable experience in the majestic Colca Valley with this 2-day/1-night tour. Travel through impressive Andean landscapes, passing by the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you can spot vicuñas and llamas in the natural habitat. Discover charming colonial towns, traditions, and the warmth of the people. At sunrise, visit the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you will admire the spectacular flight of the Andean condor. Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay: We begin with pick-up from hotels located in the historic center of Arequipa starting at 7:00 AM. Our first stop will be at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve (Pampa Cañahuas), where will admire the Andean Mountain range with its lagoons surrounded by snowcapped peaks and volcanoes. Next, we stop at Patahuasi, where will enjoy a hot infusion to help acclimate to the altitude. We will continue to the Tocra wetlands, a perfect spot to observe Andean camelids and birds such as flamingos. We proceed to the Mirador de los Andes (Pata Pampa), located at 4,900 m.a.s.l., the highest point of the journey. Afterwards, we descend to the town of Chivay for lunch and hotel check-in. In the afternoon, will visit the Chacapi hot springs to relax in the thermal-medicinal waters. At night, enjoy a delicious dinner accompanied by a folk show, before returning to the hotel for rest. Day 2: Chivay – Cruz del Cóndor – Arequipa After breakfast at the hotel, we depart to the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, the highlight of the tour, where will marvel at the grandeur of the Colca Canyon and the majestic flight of the Andean condor. We will spend about one hour here. On the way back, will stop at Huayra Punko viewpoint and later at Antahuilque viewpoint, which offers incredible views of the valley and the terraces. We will also visit Maca, a small picturesque town. Finally, return to Chivay for lunch (not included) before heading back to Arequipa, making some scenic stops along the way. Arrival is scheduled around 5:30 PM, near the main square.
