IINCA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU 4D

The Inka trail is one of the most tourist attractions. This route has become very famous and is one of the most crowded by our visitors who love to enjoy the nature and our ancestor’s culture, hundreds of species of orchids, multicolor birds and landscapes that surrounds this route, and it makes it ideal for every trekker who should experience at least once to know Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

Itinerary:

1st Day Cusco – Km 82 – Waylllabamba:

Pick up at the hotel in our private bus that will take us to km 82 via Chicheros, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, part of the Sacred Valley. We will stop at Olantaytambo for few minutes in order to finalize with some necessary shopping for our route. We continue until we arrive to the main start point of Inka trail, here, we will register at the control gate, and we will also meet the porters that will come with us along our trekking. We will start our journey in Vilcanota until we arrive to Lllactapata, important archeological group in our route, here we will have lunch and then continue until we arrive to our first campsite located in Wayllabamba, few hours after our walk. We will have dinner, and we will spend the night 

2nd Day: Wayllabamba – Warmihuañusca – Pacaymayu.

This day we will wake up early to have lunch and then we will fix our equipment in order to start our trekking uphill until we arrive to Warmihuañusca (4200m above sea level). From here we will have a nice view for the mountains and snow-covered that surrounds our way, with this marvelous viewpoint and after a long rest we will go downhill until we arrive to Pacaymayu where our second campsite is located (breakfast / lunch / dinner).

3rd Day: Pacaymayu – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna.

After breakfast and then we start our trekking uphill to Runcucaray archeological center, we will see important vestiges of the Inka culture. We will continue our journey until we arrive to the ruins of Sallaymarca, place where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will continue walking and observing how the geography will change, from mountain dry to semi tropical green in the jungle. In this journey we will find the archeological zone Phuyupatamarca and finally arrive to the last campsite called Wiañaywayna. (breakfast / lunch / dinner).

4th Day: Wiñayhuayna – Machupicchu – Cusco.

Our last day, breakfast will be early in the morning and then we will start our journey to the sun gate called Inti Punku in order to observe the sunrise with an impressing view to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m above sea level), we will go down and cross this magical place in a guided visit the most important areas for about 2 hours and a half.

Finally, we will have some time to explore and then go down for lunch to Aguas Calientes and then take the train back to city of Cusco arriving late at night (breakfast).
