Itinerary

Day 1: Lima City Tour – A Journey Through Time

Start at 2:00 PM with a guided tour of the “City of Kings”. Visit the impressive Huaca Pucllana, then explore the Historic Center: Plaza Mayor, Cathedral, and San Francisco Convent with its catacombs. End the tour in modern Lima, visiting Miraflores and San Isidro before returning to your hotel.

Day 2: Paracas & Ica – Desert and Ocean Adventure

Early pickup for a scenic drive to Paracas. Embark on a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, penguins, and guano birds. Continue to Ica for a Pisco tasting at a traditional winery and sample local sweets. End the day with sandboarding and dune buggy rides at the Huacachina Oasis before returning to Lima.

Day 3: Arequipa City Tour – The White City

After breakfast, fly to Arequipa. Transfer to your hotel, then enjoy a guided city tour, including the awe-inspiring Santa Catalina Monastery, a city within a convent frozen in time.

Day 4: Arequipa – Chivay & Colca Canyon

Journey to the Colca Valley, one of the world’s deepest canyons. Admire Andean landscapes dotted with volcanoes and wildlife. Lunch in Chivay, followed by a relaxing soak at La Calera Hot Springs.

Day 5: Colca Canyon – Condor Viewpoint & Bus to Puno

Visit the Condor Viewpoint early to witness the majestic flight of Andean condors. After lunch in Chivay, continue to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Day 6: Puno – Uros & Amantaní Islands

Explore the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the floating Uros Islands, then sail to Amantaní Island for a cultural homestay with local families, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 7: Taquile Island

After breakfast, take a boat to Taquile Island. Hike for panoramic views and explore the UNESCO-listed textile traditions. Return to Puno in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Puno – Cusco via the Sun Route

Travel the scenic Sun Route to Cusco, stopping at Pukara, Raqchi (Temple of Wiracocha), and the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” in Andahuaylillas. Buffet lunch en route.

Day 9: Cusco – Free Day

Relax or explore Cusco at your own pace. Visit San Blas neighborhood, museums, or enjoy a coffee in the historic plazas.

Day 10: Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain Tour

Early departure to Vinicunca. After breakfast and a challenging hike, enjoy panoramic views of the mountain’s vibrant stripes. Return to Cusco in the afternoon.

Day 11: Cusco City Tour – Inca Capital

Afternoon guided tour of Cusco: Cathedral, Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), and surrounding Inca ruins: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay.

Day 12: Humantay Lagoon Tour

Early departure to Salkantay foothills. After breakfast and a moderate hike, admire the turquoise Humantay Lagoon framed by majestic mountains.

Day 13: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu Connection

Visit Chinchero, Moray terraces, and Maras Salt Mines. Lunch in Urubamba. Explore Ollantaytambo before taking the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 14: Machu Picchu Tour

Early morning ascent to Machu Picchu. Guided 3-hour tour of this Inca wonder. Lunch in Aguas Calientes, then train back to Cusco.

Day 15: Farewell Cusco

With a heart full of experiences and a camera full of memories, today you’ll say goodbye to Peru. At the scheduled time, you’ll be transferred to Cusco Airport to catch your flight back to Lima and onward to your final destination. Thus concludes an epic journey through the landscapes, history, and culture of southern Peru.
