Itinerary
First Day: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu
In the morning between 9:45am and 10:00am a private bus will wait for you at your hotel to board and then we transfer you to Ollantaytambo station in order to take the train that leaves at noon. Our trip by bus from Cusco takes approximately 2 hours and the train from Ollantaytambo takes about 2 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes (2100m above sea level) also known as Machu Picchu. Transfer and Check In at the chosen hotel. The rest of the afternoon is left for you to walk around and visit this small town and go to the thermal baths. At 19:00 hours the guide will visit at your hotel and give you a briefing of the tour to Machu Picchu.
Second Day: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Tour – Cusco
Right after breakfast at scheduled time, we will head to the bus station to make a line and board the bus which will take 30 minutes up to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. Here, the assigned guide will wait for you and start the visit to Machu Picchu. The visit with the guide and the group takes 3 hours. Then, you will have free time to continue visiting this place. Finally after some few hours, you will have to leave the park to take the bus and go down to Aguas Calientes and have lunch. Right after, you must be at the train station at least 30 minutes before the departure, once you arrive to Ollantaytambo train station someone will be waiting for you to take you to the bus station with the group and then return to Cusco and arrive at night.
